Job summary

Blackwoods in Mount Isa is seeking an Account Manager to own a diverse territory across Mount Isa and surrounding regions. You will nurture existing accounts, identify growth opportunities, and deliver solutions that help customers thrive in the Mining, Utilities, and Government sectors.

The role is permanent and full-time, with most time spent in the field visiting customer sites, building lasting partnerships and delivering territory growth alongside the Mount Isa Operations Team.

Qualifications

• Experienced in Account Management, Business Development, or a similar customer-facing sales role
• Proven ability to grow customer relationships, win new business, and manage key or strategic accounts
• Strong understanding of the Mount Isa region, with commercial acumen and a track record of delivering profitable growth
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, planning, and territory management skills
• Comfortable working independently, using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, and travelling regularly throughout the territory

Responsibilities

• Build and grow strong customer relationships across the Mining, Utilities, and Government sectors
• Spend most of your time in the field, visiting customer sites, understanding their needs, and identifying growth opportunities
• Manage and expand an existing customer portfolio while securing new business opportunities
• Develop value-driven solutions that support customer success and deliver sales and profit growth
• Execute a strategic territory plan, use CRM tools to manage opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes
