Job summary

Blackwoods is seeking an Account Manager to own a diverse territory across Mount Isa and surrounding regions, partnering with customers in Mining, Utilities and Government sectors. The role is permanent full-time, largely field-based, and focuses on nurturing existing accounts, uncovering new opportunities, and delivering value-driven solutions to drive growth.

You will spend most of your time in the field, build lasting partnerships, and work with the Mount Isa Operations Team to ensure

Qualifications

• Experienced in Account Management, Business Development, or a similar customer-facing sales role.
• Proven ability to grow customer relationships, win new business, and manage key or strategic accounts.
• Strong understanding of the Mount Isa region, with commercial acumen and a track record of delivering profitable growth.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, planning, and territory management skills.
• Comfortable working independently, using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, and travelling regularly throughout the territory.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow strong customer relationships across Mining, Utilities, and Government sectors.
• Spend most of your time in the field, visiting customer sites, understanding their needs, and identifying growth opportunities.
• Manage and expand an existing customer portfolio while securing new business opportunities.
• Develop value-driven solutions that support customer success and deliver sales and profit growth.
• Execute a strategic territory plan, use CRM tools to manage opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
