Job summary

Avani Cypress Lakes Resort is seeking a Food & Beverage Team Leader to drive service excellence on a full-time basis. You will lead a small F&B team, oversee breakfasts, lunches and dinners, mentor staff, and ensure guest satisfaction across shifts.

Demonstrated experience leading hospitality teams and a current RSA are essential. The role requires flexibility for a rotating roster across weekdays, weekends and public holidays, with attractive hourly rates and benefits from Minor Hotels.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring a team in hospitality.
• Previous experience as Food & Beverage Attendant, Waiter/Waitress or Bartender.
• Current RSA certification (Responsible Service of Alcohol).
• Warm, approachable demeanor with a positive attitude.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality guest service consistently.
• Reliable with flexible availability for a rotating roster including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the F&B team to provide professional, efficient service.
• Assist with taking guest orders accurately and accommodate preferences.
• Demonstrate menu knowledge and confidently upsell options.
• Oversee serving of food and beverages to maintain standards and guest satisfaction.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Coach and mentor team members with guidance and training as required.
• Assist with rostering, shift coordination and workflow planning.
• Ensure RSA, hygiene and WHS standards are met.
• Support management with reporting, stock management and service improvements.
