Job summary

Kalgin Global Logistics in Sydney seeks an experienced Export Sea Freight Customer Service coordinator to join our dynamic team. We tailor solutions around customer requirements and value long-term relationships with clients and partners.

We offer a hybrid work environment, with flexibility and collaboration. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end sea freight, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and help grow Kalgin’s global freight forwarding services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in end-to-end sea freight and freight forwarding.
• Current Sydney resident or eligible to work in Australia.
• Strong knowledge of Cargowise is essential.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process export sea freight shipments while keeping in close contact with customers and suppliers for high service levels.
• Coordinate booking approvals, cargo collection, container transport, PRA’s, pre-alerts and invoicing.
• Liaise with trucking companies, depots, freight forwarders, shipping lines, overseas agents and Kalgin offices to coordinate shipments.
• Collaborate with our international team members and third-party agents for efficiency and problem resolution.
• Build strong relationships with customers and respond to requirements and follow up with solutions.
• Participate in customer business reviews.
• Ensure all invoicing and costing in Cargowise are processed accurately and promptly.

Responsibilities:

To manage and process export sea freight shipments while keeping in close contact with customers and suppliers to always ensure a high level of service. To act as the face of Kalgin, striving for excellence in export customer service.

Coordinate tasks to meet all customer & SOP requirements: booking approvals, executing cargo collection / container transport, Quarantine requirements, processing PRA’s, pre-alerts & invoicing, etc.

Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and to create solutions in response to challenges both internally and externally.

Liaise with trucking companies, depots, freight forwarders & shipping lines, overseas agents & other Kalgin offices to co-ordinate shipments.

Collaborate with our international team members and third-party agents to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service and creative problem resolution.

Build strong relationships with customers, responding timely and following up on requirements and solutions.

Managing and developing relationships with assigned key customers & relevant contacts within the business.

Participate in customer business reviews.

Ensure all job invoicing and costing in Cargowise are processed accurately & promptly.

The successful applicant should demonstrate;

Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in 'end to end' sea freight & freight forwarding.

Must be ‘currently’ living in Sydney and Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Strong working knowledge of Cargowise - confident and capable.

Export FAK experience an advantage, however not essential.

Excellent communication & time management skills with the ability to prioritise & multi-task.

Professional manner & common-sense approach to work & pride yourself on attention to detail, customer service & relationships.

Critical-thinking, flexibility, & problem-solving skills to adapt to ever-changing tasks & customer needs.

Energetic and team oriented.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
