Job summary

Aion Cargo Solutions in Sydney seeks an experienced sea freight export professional to manage shipments from booking through departure and final documentation. You will liaise with customers, shipping lines, government authorities and overseas agents to ensure compliance and on-time performance.

You will prepare permits, COOs and other export certificates, coordinate documentation across systems and monitor schedules and cut-offs to deliver reliable service.

Responsibilities

• Manage sea freight export shipments from booking through to departure
• Coordinate FCL, LCL and occasional cross-trade shipments
• Make bookings and manage documentation with shipping lines and co-loaders
• Arrange container releases, transport, depot movements and empty container returns
• Prepare shipping instructions, bills of lading and other export documentation
• Prepare and manage Requests for Permit (RFPs), Certificates of Origin (COOs) and other export certificates
• Coordinate documentation through government and industry systems
• Monitor vessel schedules, documentation cut-offs and container cut-off times
• Liaise with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, transport providers and government authorities
• Provide customers with accurate and timely shipment updates

Job description

In this role, you will manage sea freight export shipments from booking through to departure and final documentation. You will work closely with customers, shipping lines, transport providers, government authorities and overseas agents to ensure shipments are handled accurately and on schedule. The position also involves preparing export permits and certificates, including Requests for Permit (RFPs), Certificates of Origin (COOs) and other commodity-specific documentation.

• Coordinate documentation through relevant government and industry systems
• Monitor vessel schedules, documentation cut-offs and container cut-off times
• Liaise with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, transport providers and government authorities
• Provide customers with accurate and timely shipment updates

About you

• Previous sea freight export experience within an Australian freight forwarding environment
• Good knowledge of FCL and LCL export procedures
• Experience preparing Requests for Permit (RFPs), Certificates of Origin (COOs) and other export certificates
• Knowledge of Australian export documentation and regulatory requirements
• Experience working with shipping lines, transport providers, government authorities and overseas agents
• Strong documentation and data-entry skills
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet strict cut-off times
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive, organised and customer-focused approach
• The ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment
