Gold Fields is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to facilitate the efficient extraction of gold ore by providing production planning and scheduling.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer: Mine Production, you will develop and manage short- to medium-term plans that achieve production and development targets while maximizing business value and maintaining compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.

Formación

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Underground and surface engineering experience with planning and scheduling – preferably gold.
• Exposure to contract mining environments.
• Demonstrated practical underground experience.
• Experience using MS Office and Deswik mining software.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and manage the two-week mine schedule in consultation with key stakeholders, ensuring it aligns with capability and 3MS objectives.
• Support mining operations by working with the Senior Mine Production Engineer to drive planned production and safety targets.
• Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of reporting (weekly variance, daily reports, performance tracking) to support informed decisions.
• Create competitive drill and blast designs using up-to-date economic and geological information.
• Monitor progress to ensure activities align with weekly targets and are completed safely.
