Job summary

Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd in Australia seeks a Production Engineer to facilitate the efficient extraction of gold ore through production planning and scheduling.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer: Mine Production, you will develop short- to medium-term plans while ensuring EHS compliance and alignment with the three-monthly schedule. FIFO from Perth is offered with potential six months of accommodated relocation support to Kambalda for permanent roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering required.
• Underground/surface mining experience with exposure to longhole drilling and blasting.
• Experience with mining software such as Deswik and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the two-week mine schedule in consultation with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with capability and 3MS objectives.
• Support the mining operation by working with the Senior Mine Production Engineer to drive planned production and safety targets.
• Develop, implement, and monitor reporting (Weekly variance reports, Daily reports, performance tracking) to support informed decision-making.
• Create competent, consistent and optimal drill and blast designs using up-to-date economic and geological information.
• Monitor progress and performance to ensure activities stay aligned with weekly production targets and are completed safely.
