Job summary

Gold Fields Australia Pty Limited seeks a Production Engineer to facilitate efficient ore extraction through planning and scheduling. You will develop short- to medium-term plans that meet production targets while upholding EHS standards and company policies.

You will collaborate with the Senior Mine Production Engineer to drive planned production and safety targets, support reporting, and optimize drill and blast designs using current data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in underground or surface mining environments.
• Exposure to longhole drilling and blasting.
• Familiar with mining software such as Deswik.
• Strong planning and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the two-week mine schedule in consultation with key stakeholders.
• Support the mining operation with production and safety targets.
• Develop, implement, and monitor reporting to aid decision-making.
• Create drill and blast designs using current data.
• Monitor progress to ensure alignment with targets and safety.
