Doctors at Ormeau Town Centre is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our busy general practice on the Gold Coast. You will manage front-desk duties, patient communications, and day-to-day operations while supporting the team with leadership tasks.

Ideal candidates have proven experience in a GP environment, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a flexible approach to shifts that may include early starts and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as Medical Receptionist in a GP/general practice.
• Experience in front-desk duties and patient communications is essential.
• Ability to manage appointments, phone inquiries and patient correspondence.
• Experience with Medicare billing is advantageous.
• Willingness to take on leadership responsibilities and team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients with friendly, professional service.
• Managing appointment scheduling and patient enquiries.
• Processing payments and Medicare claims; handling administrative duties.
• Support doctors and nursing staff with daily operations.
• Assist with staff coordination, workflow management and team support.
• Help oversee daily operations and ensure procedures are followed.
• Address patient enquiries and resolve operational issues as they arise.
