Job summary

Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria, is seeking a capable Business Support Officer to provide executive support to two Directors within Emergency Management Victoria (EMV). The role offers ongoing, full-time VPS with salary banding of $81,496–$98,955 plus superannuation.

The role sits in the Capability, Communications and Regional Operations Division, focusing on administrative, financial and coordination tasks to bolster emergency management planning and operations.

Qualifications

• There are no mandatory qualifications; however, relevant experience in a similar role in a fast- paced dynamic environment would be an advantage.
• Experience in providing support and assistance to senior managers, ideally within a large complex organisation.
• Demonstrated experience in providing administrative and business support including financial records and processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, flexible and effective administrative and business support services for the Directors, including inbox, diary and meeting management.
• Assess and prioritise emails, briefs, invoices and correspondence and take appropriate follow up action.
• Work collaboratively as a member of the EMV Business Support function to ensure that the Directors are well supported, informed and briefed in a timely manner.
