Job summary

MacKellar is hiring Production Operators for a long-term project at Carmichael Mine. Operate a modern fleet on a well-established open-cut operation, with a safety-forward team culture and strong leadership.

Role includes 400t+ excavator and large dozer operation, pre-starts, fault reporting and close collaboration with Supervisors to achieve daily targets.

Qualifications

• 12+ months' recent experience operating 400t+ excavators and/or large production dozers in open-cut mining.
• Current RII competencies or verified site training transcripts issued within the past 5 years.
• Current Standard 11
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• A strong commitment to safe operating practices
• A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a high-performing crew
• Ability to meet all site access and pre-employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate large-scale mining equipment to help the team hit daily production targets.
• Operate 400t+ hydraulic excavators and large production dozers as part of the open-cut fleet.
• Complete pre-starts, equipment checks and housekeeping; report faults and cooperate with Supervisors to keep production moving.
