Job summary

MacKellar Group is recruiting Multi-Skilled Operators for Carmichael Mine in Queensland. Join a permanent, long-term production role operating a modern fleet on an even-time 7/7 roster.

You’ll contribute to safe production targets while working with an experienced site team, with flights from Townsville, Rockhampton and Cairns and camp accommodation provided on site.

Qualifications

• Open cut mining experience operating Dozers and Haul Trucks.
• Experience operating at least one: Grader, Water Truck, Small Excavator, CAT 980 Loader.
• Current Standard 11 is required.
• Current Australian Driver Licence is required.
• RII competencies or a verified training transcript within past 5 years.

This is an opportunity to operate a modern fleet, work alongside an experienced site team and build a long-term career on an even-time 7/7 roster.

The Opportunity

As a Multi-Skilled Operator, you’ll be part of a production crew responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy mobile equipment to support daily mining targets.

You’ll work across multiple pieces of equipment, contributing to safe production, maintaining high operating standards and working closely with your crew and supervisors.

What We’re Looking For

To be considered, you’ll need:

• Open cut mining experience operating Dozers and Haul Trucks
• Proven experience operating at least one of the following:
  • Grader
  • Water Truck
  • Small Excavator
  • CAT 980 Loader
• Current Standard 11
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Relevant RII competencies or a verified training transcript completed within the past 5 years
• A strong commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to work a rotating 7/7 day/night roster
• A team-focused approach and willingness to work as part of a high-performing production crew
