Job summary

MacKellar Group is seeking experienced Multi-Skilled Production Operators for a long-term mining project near Nyngan, NSW. You will safely operate a range of heavy mobile equipment and move between machines to support production targets.

The role offers a 7/7 rotating day/night roster, camp accommodation and meals, and a stable career path with ongoing training and development.

MacKellar is expanding its production team on a growing mining project near Nyngan, NSW, working in partnership with Aeris Resources.

We're looking for experienced Multi-Skilled Production Operators who can operate multiple types of heavy mobile equipment and want the stability of a long-term role with an established mining contractor.

About the Role

You’ll be part of a production crew responsible for safely and efficiently operating a range of heavy mobile equipment across site.

The ability to multi-skill is key to the role, with operators expected to confidently move between equipment types and support production requirements as needed.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Operating Haul Trucks and Dozers
• Operating at least one additional machine, including:
  • Grader
  • Water Truck
  • Loader
  • Excavator
• Completing pre-starts and routine equipment inspections
• Identifying and reporting equipment faults
• Operating equipment safely and efficiently
• Working with Supervisors and fellow operators to achieve production targets
• Following site procedures, safety standards and operational requirements
• Maintaining equipment care and good housekeeping standards

What You’ll Need

We’re looking for operators with a strong production mining background and proven multi-skilled capability.

You’ll have:

• Previous experience operating heavy mobile equipment in a production mining environment
• Proven experience operating Haul Trucks and Dozers
• Experience operating at least one of Graders, Water Trucks, Loaders or Excavators
• Current RII competencies and/or verifiable operating history
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe equipment operation
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively within a production-focused team
• Ability to meet all site access and pre-employment requirements
• Flexibility to work a 7/7 rotating day/night roster
