Job summary

MacKellar Group is recruiting experienced Multi-Skilled Operators to join our production team at Carmichael Mine, one of Queensland's largest mining operations. Operate a modern fleet and contribute to safe, efficient targets on a long-term, even-time 7/7 roster.

This permanent role offers flights from Townsville, Rockhampton and Cairns, on-site camp accommodation, meals and transport, plus ongoing training and development opportunities with salary packaging options.

Qualifications

• Open cut mining experience operating Dozers and Haul Trucks.
• Experience operating at least one of: Grader, Water Truck, Small Excavator, CAT 980 Loader.
• Current Standard 11.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Relevant RII competencies or a verified training transcript within the past 5 years.
• Ability to work a rotating 7/7 day/night roster.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices.
• Team-focused approach and willingness to work as part of a high-performing production crew.

Responsibilities

• As a Multi-Skilled Operator, you'll be part of a production crew responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy mobile equipment to support daily mining targets.
• You’ll work across multiple pieces of equipment, contributing to safe production, maintaining high operating standards and working closely with your crew and supervisors.

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you’ll need:

• Open cut mining experience operating Dozers and Haul Trucks
• Proven experience operating at least one of the following:
  • Grader
  • Water Truck
  • Small Excavator
  • CAT 980 Loader
• Current Standard 11
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Relevant RII competencies or a verified training transcript completed within the past 5 years
• A strong commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to work a rotating 7/7 day/night roster
• A team-focused approach and willingness to work as part of a high-performing production crew
