Job summary

Hyatt Regency Sydney is seeking an energetic Events Sales professional to maximise revenue across conferences, social and wedding events. You’ll build strong client relationships, upsell catering options, and manage proposals, contracts and deposits to secure bookings.

Working with our Senior Event Sales Manager, you’ll drive activity through calls and meetings, maintain the Envision/Opera PMS booking pipeline, and deliver exceptional service in line with Hyatt standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales-based role within hotel/events is essential.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Full Australian working rights; ability to work full-time onsite Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of accounts via phone calls, meetings, and site visits.
• Qualify and quote new events, upsell catering and upsell opportunities.
• Prepare personalized submissions for enquiries and adhere to 24-hour turnaround.
• Handle catering, social and wedding bookings, including proposals, contracts and deposits.
• Participate in promotions and entertainment activities as required.
• Maintain the Envision booking system and prospect previous and potential clients for future bookings.
• Meet or exceed targets as directed by the Director of Event Sales & Planning.
