Job summary

Hyatt Regency Sydney is seeking an Event Sales Executive to maximise revenue across the event market, including conferences, social and catering. Working with the Senior Event Sales Manager, you will build relationships, make daily sales calls and convert leads into bookings while delivering exceptional client service.

This full‑time onsite role in Sydney requires strong organisational skills, a track record in hotel or events sales, and the ability to upsell catering and wedding packages.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar sales-based role in the Hotel or Events industry is preferred.
• Background in food & beverage events and catering is desirable.
• Strong customer service focus and relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Manage an agreed portfolio of accounts through reactive sales activities such as calls and face-to-face meetings.
• Qualify and quote new events, upsell catering & convert leads to bookings.
• Prepare personalised submissions for enquiries and adhere to 24-hour turnaround.
• Handle catering, social and weddings administration, proposals, contracts and deposits within set timeframes.
• Participate in promotional activities and maintain the Envision booking system.
• Prospect previous and potential clients to secure future bookings and hit targets set by management.
