Job summary

Hyatt Regency Sydney is seeking an Event Planning Executive to coordinate and manage meetings, incentives, exhibitions, social events and weddings. After confirming business with the Sales team, you will take ownership of planning, implementing and executing events, guiding clients from arrival to departure and final account settlement.

This role suits someone with prior event planning experience, strong client relationship skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a bustling

Qualifications

• Prior experience at a similar level in a Hotel or hospitality venue – background with weddings & socials highly advantageous
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Pride in personal presentation and grooming
• The drive to develop a career within the Event Planning industry
• Full Australian working rights and the availability to work full-time onsite Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Handling all enquiries with a professional manner, demonstrating a high level of care and customer service for events up to 250 delegates
• To actively convert catering only enquiries into a confirmed catering event, demonstrating confidence through call control and upselling
• Managing the day to day administration of events, including sending out of proposals within 24 hours, preparation of BEOs and settlement of final accounts
• Developing and fostering future and repeat business opportunities
• Attending internal and interdepartmental meetings as required
• Working closely and collaboratively with key departments across the Hotel including the Sales, Events Service, Revenue & Group Reservations, Engineering and Culinary
