Job summary

Hyatt Regency Sydney is seeking an Event Planning Executive to coordinate and manage meetings, incentives, exhibition groups, social events and weddings from post-confirmation by the Sales team through execution and final settlement.

You will guide clients from arrival to departure, building strong relationships and understanding their needs in a fast-paced hotel environment in Sydney’s CBD.

Qualifications

• Prior experience at a similar level in a hotel or hospitality venue; weddings & socials advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Pride in personal presentation and grooming.
• Desire to develop a career within the Event Planning industry.
• Full Australian working rights and availability to work full-time onsite Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Handling all enquiries with a high level of care and customer service for events up to 250 delegates.
• Actively convert catering enquiries into confirmed catering events and upsell where possible.
• Manage day-to-day administration: proposals within 24 hours, preparation of BEOs, settlement of final accounts.
• Develop and foster future and repeat business opportunities.
• Attend internal and interdepartmental meetings as required.
• Collaborate with Sales, Events Service, Revenue & Group Reservations, Engineering and Culinary across the Hotel.
