Job summary

Phillip Island Nature Park Board of Management is seeking a Visitor Experience Guide to connect visitors with Victoria's iconic wildlife. You will deliver engaging storytelling and exceptional customer service, educating guests about Little Penguins and coastal conservation while guiding tours and providing information.

The role is casual/part-time with evening shifts, Monday to Sunday rosters, and rates that include casual loading and allowances.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in visitor engagement and customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to provide high-quality visitor experiences, interpretation, tours and information to diverse visitors including non-English speakers.
• Proven ability to de-escalate and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Demonstrated communication and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of OH&S and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging interactions to connect visitors with Little Penguin storytelling and conservation messages.
• Provide interpretation and information to educate and inspire visitors about the penguin colony and coastal habitat.
• Contribute to a welcoming, safe and memorable guest experience during evening and weekend shifts.
