Job summary

Main Beach Bakery on the Gold Coast is seeking a Pastry Chef / Pastry Cook for Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM. You will prepare, bake, and plate a variety of high-quality pastries and desserts for evening service in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities include dough prep, lamination, piping and decoration; monitoring night shift inventory; preparing for the next day; and upholding strict food safety standards during cleanup and closeout.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or Pastry Cook in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques and dessert presentation.
• Ability to work independently during evening hours and deliver consistent results.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, and plate a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods for evening service
• Execute dough preparation, lamination, standard piping, and detail decoration
• Monitor night shift inventory, handle prep lists for the following day, and order kitchen supplies as needed
• Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards throughout shift cleanup and closeout
