Chocolat of Mornington is seeking an experienced Baker/Pastry Chef to join our passionate team in our Mornington bakery. Based in VIC, you will prepare and produce a range of baked goods and pastries to our high standards.

The role requires formal training in baking or patisserie, strong time management, and a commitment to food safety. You will start early and contribute to a friendly, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or qualifications in baking, patisserie or a related culinary field, Cert III Patisserie.
• Excellent baking and pastry-making skills with an eye for detail and presentation.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Passion for creating high-quality baked goods and a commitment to food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and baking a variety of pastries, pies and other baked goods to our high standards
• Laminating doughs
• Ensuring all ingredients are measured and mixed according to recipes
• Operating commercial baking equipment safely and efficiently
• Decorating and finishing baked goods to create visually appealing and delicious products
• Maintaining a clean, organised and sanitary work environment
• Assisting with inventory management and ordering of supplies
• Providing exceptional customer service to our in-store customers
• Early morning starts
