Job summary

Avanade Australia is seeking a Business Development Manager or Senior Manager to drive commercial growth across targeted industries, accounts and territories, originating, shaping and closing meaningful opportunities. You’ll work across the full sales lifecycle from identifying early-stage opportunities through to negotiating terms and deal closure.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise sales and business development experience within consulting, technology services, or digital transformation organisations.
• Background selling services (not just account management or delivery).
• Proven success originating, shaping, and closing large-scale engagements (5M–20M+ TCV).
• Experience creating innovative commercial structures and value propositions.
• Strong consultative sales approach with industry understanding.

Responsibilities

• Originate, qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities across Avanade's service portfolio.
• Develop and execute account-based growth strategies across target industries and territories.
• Build trusted relationships with senior executives and C-suite stakeholders to drive revenue growth.
• Partner with Microsoft, Accenture, and alliance ecosystem to create and co-sell opportunities.
• Lead pursuit teams including bid, delivery, SMEs, legal, and finance to design differentiated solutions.
• Shape commercial strategies, value propositions, and negotiate complex deal structures.
• Serve as a trusted advisor leveraging Avanade's cloud, AI, and digital transformation capabilities.
• Collaborate with ACALs, Regional Marketing, Sales Ops, and Finance for go-to-market execution.
• Contribute to sales pipeline health, forecasting, and bookings targets.
