Decagon, the leading conversational AI platform, seeks an Agent Deployment Engineer in Australia to drive end-to-end AI agent builds for strategic customers. You will own architecture, integration design, and production deployment, collaborating with customers and internal teams to deliver reliable, enterprise-grade agents.

The role requires 5+ years in a technical customer-facing capacity, strong API/integration skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-moving environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role.
• Experience delivering production-grade customer solutions with structured execution and validation.
• Ability to translate requirements into implementation plans and drive delivery.
• Comfort in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where solutions are shaped as they are built.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and execution of AI agent builds for enterprise customers, from design to deployment.
• Design core agentic logic to optimize quality, reliability, and correctness.
• Engineer and validate guardrails for safe, compliant agent performance.
• Architect, build, and test integrations with customer systems (data pipelines, CRMs, ticketing).
• Interface with senior technical stakeholders to define success criteria and requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve failures with root-cause analysis of traces and logs.
• Translate customer needs into internal docs and drive platform improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver repeatable agent builds.
