Job summary

SEE Group is seeking an Engineering Surveyor for a major mining and infrastructure project in Orange, NSW. This full-time role offers an 8 on / 6 off FIFO roster from Brisbane, DIDO and local candidates are encouraged to apply.

Work with a professional Mining & Infrastructure team to deliver timely, safe, and accurate survey outcomes on-site, collaborating with project delivery teams and mentoring staff where needed.

Qualifications

• Background in survey workflows and field-to-digi­tal data transfer.
• Strong numeric accuracy and analytical thinking for plan verification.
• Experience with project delivery and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Import data for drafting final plans and keep set-out models current.
• Convert digital data and models to GPS files and upload data to survey instruments.
• Monitor software versions on equipment and ensure up-to-date data and calibrations.

The Opportunity

SEE Group havea great careeropportunity available for an Engineering Surveyor to join our highly professional and skilled Mining & Infrastructure team on a major mining project in Orange, NSW.Thisis afull-time permanent role on an 8 on / 6 off roster FIFO from Brisbane, DIDO and Local candidates are encouraged to apply. You’llwork closely with teams acrossproject delivery to ensuretimely, safe, andaccurateproject outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Import data into system for drafting of final plans.
• Update and keep current set out and or models and data.
• Convert digital data, and models to GPS file.
• Accurately upload andmaintaindata in survey instruments and other plant and equipment.
• Monitor and track that machines have current software, and load upgrades asrequired.
• Reviewand assess plans for accuracy against markings and project specifications onsite.
• Plan and coordinate survey set out taking into consideration continuity of projects andutilisation of machinery and contractors.
• Conduct all computer based / electronic calculations prior to arrival on site
• Comply withSEE Group Integrated Management System policies and procedures.
• Be positive and proactive in their approach to the coaching,mentoringand training ofrelevant staffandidentifyand develop staff within the department for the benefit of theorganisationandto meet future growth and needs of the company.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Tertiary qualification – Surveying or Spatial Science (desirable)
• Current Drivers Licence
• Background in Survey processes.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects andmaintainingfocus on priorities.
• Demonstrated numeric accuracy and analyticalskills.
• Knowledge of Engineering principles and experience in actual project delivery
• Computer literacy, particularly experience working with 12D.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
