Job summary

SEE Group is seeking an experienced Lead Engineering Surveyor to join our Survey Team. Based across projects in Coffs Harbour, NSW, this senior role focuses on delivering precision surveying for infrastructure and civil works while supporting project delivery and team leadership.

You will liaise with Project Managers, manage survey staff, ensure site work aligns with specifications, and apply machine control systems and advanced surveying techniques on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in surveying, spatial science, or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in civil paving with pavement machine control systems.
• Strong knowledge of modern engineering surveying techniques and project delivery.
• Experience with TBC and 12D; proficient with surveying equipment.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Strong leadership, planning and people-management skills.
• UAV experience (REPL) is advantageous.
• Excellent planning, organizing, and problem-solving abilities; able to lead and motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Project Managers and Survey Manager to deliver projects.
• Verify field work meets survey specifications on site.
• Manage other surveyors and assistants on the project.
• Provide engineering surveys for design, construction and monitoring.
• Oversee machine control systems across site operations.

SEE Group have an opportunity for an experienced Lead Engineering Surveyor to join our Survey Team. Take the next step in your career in this senior level role where you will be based across various projects in Coffs Harbour, NSW. Responsibilities

Liaising with Project Managers and the Survey Manager to deliver each project.

Checking to ensure work performed on site is within survey specifications.

Managing other surveyors and survey assistants onthe project.

Providing engineering survey for design, construction and monitoring of civil construction projects.

Managing machine control systems.

Essential Skills and Attributes

A Tertiary qualification in surveying, spatial science or similar.

High level of experience in paving in the Civil Construction Industry especially dealing with Pavement Machine Control systems.

Knowledge of current Engineering surveying techniques and experience in actual project delivery.

Experience in TBC, 12Dand use of a full range of surveying equipment.

Demonstrated numerical accuracy and analytical skills.

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Proven management skills, practices and planning ability.

UAV – REPL will be an advantage.

Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
