Job summary

SEE Group, a well-established civil construction firm, seeks a Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer to lead complex infrastructure and land development projects in the Ipswich region. You will manage programs, safety, subcontractors and technical project delivery on site.

The role requires proven civil engineering management, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate diverse teams while maintaining compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering experience with proven management and planning abilities.
• Experience managing a project with focus on priorities.
• Strong contract negotiation and administration skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and project delivery.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong planning, organising and problem-solving skills, and ability to lead others.
• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
• Construction White Card.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for effective programming and construction methodologies of all site works.
• Ensure project compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
• Coordinate employees, subcontractors, procurement, plant and equipment.
• Lead and support the project team through project activities and scope changes.
• Coach, mentor and develop staff within the department.
• Prepare monthly assessments and forecasts of the project’s financial performance.
• Ensure safety of plant, equipment, staff and subcontractors on site.

About the Opportunity
SEE Civil have an opportunity for experienced Project Manager to our busy construction teams working on civil infrastructure and land development projects across the Ipswichregion.This is a full-time opportunity where you will be responsible for managing a road project's programming, safety coordination, subcontractor management and supervision of all technical aspects of the project.

Responsibilities will include

• Responsible and accountable for the effective programming and construction methodologies of all site works.


• Responsible for project compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards.


• Responsible and accountable for the coordination of employees, subcontractors, procurement, plant and equipment required.


• Lead and support the project team through project activities and any changes to the project scope.


• Coaching, mentoring and training of relevant staff and identify and develop staff within the department.


• Responsible for monthly assessments and forecasts of project's financial performance.


• Ensure that plant, equipment, staff and subcontractors operate within safe working conditions.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Solid demonstrated civil engineering experience including proven management skills, practices and planning ability.


• Demonstrated experience managing a project and maintaining focus on priorities.


• Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts, specifications,


• The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.


• Knowledge of Engineering principles and experience in actual project delivery.


• Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.


• Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.


• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).


• Construction White Card.
