Job summary

SEE Group in Coffs Harbour, NSW, is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join the urban development team on a major civil project. This full-time, site-based position will lead day-to-day delivery, coordinating engineering, fleet, and operations to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget outcomes.

The successful candidate will bring proven site management experience, strong planning and leadership skills, and a solid understanding of Australian standards and contract administration.

Qualifications

  • Background in Plant Operation, Construction and Delivery processes.
  • Proven management skills, practices and planning ability.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and maintaining focus on priorities.
  • Negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts, Australian standards.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of Engineering principles and experience in actual project delivery.
  • Computer literacy, particularly experience working with MS Excel and MS Project applications.
  • Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.

Responsibilities

  • Program daily site works in accordance with the construction program and adjust as needed, ensuring compliance with legislation and standards.
  • Coordinate employees, subcontractors, plant and equipment, providing guidance on technical issues.
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure HSEQ compliance.
  • Oversee overall financial performance of the projects.
  • Manage personnel lifecycle including selection, training, evaluation, and performance management.
  • Ensure adequate resourcing with the required skills and experience.
  • Manage on-site activities, controlling costs and productivity to meet financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with project teams on costing changes and variations to meet goals.

The Opportunity

SEE Group is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our urban development team in Coffs Harbour, following the award of a significant new urban and civil project. This full-time, site-based role offers the chance to lead day-to-day delivery on a high-profile development while collaborating closely with engineering, fleet, project delivery, and operations teams to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible and accountable for the effective programming of daily site works in accordance with the construction program, including any adjustments as they arise. Responsible for project compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
  • Responsible and accountable for the coordination of employees, subcontractors, plant and equipment required for the projects. Provide advice, support and assistance to project staff in relation to any technical and/or complex problems that may arise during project life.
  • Monitor sub-contractors on a continual basis with a view to ensuring compliance with HSEQ requirements.
  • Responsible for the overall financial performance of the projects.
  • Manage relevant personnel throughout their employment lifecycle including, selection, training and development, evaluation, performance management and termination of employment.
  • Ensure projects are adequately resourced with personnel of the required skills and experience
  • Manage activities on site, controlling costs and productivity to meet financial objectives of the projects.
  • Work closely with the project teams on costing changes to the project scope and/or pricing of variations to ensure the project meets financial goals.
