Job summary

Synergy is seeking a Project Document Controller (Engineering Design Delivery) for a 12-month fixed-term role in the Technology and Business Services Unit, based at Central Park, Perth City offices. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant management of engineering documentation across project lifecycles, enabling high-quality design delivery.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in document control and records management.
Knowledge of document control principles, standards and systems.
Experience with project handover processes and operational readiness.
Experience with OpenText, InEight or similar document management systems.
Experience in government, utilities, or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Establish and manage project document control systems to ensure accurate, compliant handling of engineering documentation.
Maintain end-to-end control of technical documentation across the project lifecycle, including registration, classification, version control, and distribution.
Coordinate and track engineering deliverables and workflows, supporting design reviews, procurement, and handover to meet deadlines.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of documentation, including metadata, revision control, and drawing standards.
Provide document control expertise and stakeholder support, liaising with engineers, drafters, contractors, and vendors.
