Job summary

Inspire Through Connection in Brisbane’s north‑west seeks an experienced Educational Leader to join our community‑run OSHC service. You will lead by example, mentor educators, and help shape a safe, engaging program for children.

This hands‑on role balances non‑contact planning with active daily participation, and involves collaborating with the Director to drive educational success and service improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or recognised equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated Educational Leader experience in OSHC or school-age care.
• Strong knowledge of My Time, Our Place and the NQF.
• Experience in programming, staff mentoring and professional development.
• Solid understanding of child safety, supervision and regulatory responsibilities.
• Excellent organisational, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to supervise staff and act as second‑in‑charge.

Responsibilities

• Mentor educators, support professional development and foster positive team culture.
• Lead engaging, child‑centred educational programs aligned with My Time, Our Place.
• Oversee day‑to‑day service operations and staff supervision.
• Act as second‑in‑charge in the Director’s absence and support regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to quality improvement and ongoing service development.
