Job summary

YMCA Queensland is seeking an enthusiastic Educational Leader to join the Varsity Lakes Outside School Hours Care team on a permanent part-time basis. You will shape engaging programs, support children’s learning, and mentor a team of educators to deliver safe, inclusive, high-quality care.

You’ll drive play-based activities, connect with families and partners, and uphold compliance and best practices in early childhood education, while enjoying a supportive, not-for-profit community environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services (desirable).
• Minimum three years’ experience in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the approved learning framework.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of leadership theories and styles.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).

• Drive creation, delivery and ongoing improvement of educational programs for children.
• Guide and empower educators to reach their potential.
• Champion child-centred, play-based learning aligned with frameworks.
