Job summary

SmartPlay Early Learners Caboolture is seeking an Assistant Director / OSHC Coordinator (2IC) to support the Director in delivering high-quality before/after school and vacation care. You will mentor staff, coordinate programs, and foster a Christ-centred environment where children thrive.

Requirements include a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent, OSHC/leadership experience, strong communication, and WWC (Blue Card).

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent approved qualification.
• Experience in an OSHC or Early Childhood setting with leadership capability.
• Organised and proactive to support busy service operations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willing to obtain).
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, My Time, Our Place and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director in the day-to-day operation of the service.
• Assist in planning engaging, child-led programs for wellbeing and development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and staff.
• Lead when the Director is absent and oversee the service.
• Assist with supervising and developing educators.
• Assist with compliance, documentation, rostering, bookings and admin tasks.
• Help create a Christ-centred environment where children belong and thrive.
