Job summary

YMCA Queensland is seeking an enthusiastic Educational Leader to join the Kedron Outside School Hours Care team on a permanent part-time basis.

You’ll help shape fun, engaging programs that support children’s learning and development outside school hours, guide a team of educators, and ensure every child feels safe, supported and included within a collaborative, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent is desirable.
• Minimum three years’ experience in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Knowledge of the approved learning framework.
• Ability to coach and mentor others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of child development and attachment; evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Drive the creation, delivery, and ongoing improvement of inspiring educational programs that spark curiosity and growth.
• Guide, motivate, and empower educators to shine in their roles and reach their full potential.
• Champion child‑centred, play‑based learning aligned with frameworks and putting kids first.
• Build a positive, inclusive, collaborative culture where every team member feels valued and inspired.
• Lead by example, encourage reflective practice and innovative teaching approaches.
• Connect with families, schools, and community partners to support each child.
• Ensure programs meet compliance requirements and uphold high standards of care.
