The Alva Hotel in Brisbane is looking for a Duty Manager to lead front office operations, set the tone for elevated service, and ensure every guest experiences a memorable stay. You will head a team aligned with our values—resilience, warmth, and proactive problem-solving—while coordinating with the Operations Manager to balance resources with personalized service.

The role requires at least 2 years in a Front Office supervisory position, strong communication and problem-resolution skills, OPERA

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in Front Office supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with hotel systems, including OPERA.
• Availability across a rotating 7-day roster including early mornings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Collaborative handovers and cross-department support.
• Composure in a crisis; acts as first responder when needed.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification; RSA certification.
• Open Manual driver's licence without restrictions.
• Unlimited work rights in Australia.
