Job summary

AVC Operations Pty Limited in Yarrawonga is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to lead shifts across Terminus Hotel and Criterion Hotel. You will supervise front-line teams, ensure exceptional guest service, and uphold venue standards.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong communication, resilience under pressure, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Victorian RSA and gaming qualifications are preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Duty Manager or hospitality supervisor.
• Victorian RSA and gaming qualifications preferred, or willingness to obtain them.
• Strong communication skills and confidence leading busy services.
• Hands-on, practical approach with passion for hospitality.
• Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across bar, restaurant and gaming operations.
• Coach and develop team members.
• Deliver friendly, attentive service and resolve guest concerns.
• Open and close the venue independently.
• Manage cash handling, reconciliation and end-of-day reporting.
• Maintain liquor licensing, responsible service, safety and venue standards.

Australian Venue Co. is looking for an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join the leadership team across Terminus Hotel and Criterion Hotel in Yarrawonga.

From busy bar and restaurant services to functions, gaming and entertainment, you'll enjoy a varied, hands-on role where you can lead a team, connect with the local community and help create great guest experiences.

What you'll be doing

• Leading shifts across bar, restaurant and gaming operations
• Supporting, coaching and developing team members
• Delivering friendly, attentive service and resolving guest concerns
• Opening and closing the venue independently
• Managing cash handling, reconciliation and end-of-day reporting
• Maintaining liquor licensing, responsible service, safety and venue standards
• Supporting daily operations and keeping the venue looking its best

What we're looking for

• Experience as a Duty Manager or hospitality supervisor, ready to take the next step
• A current Victorian RSA and relevant gaming qualifications, or willingness to obtain them
• Strong communication skills and confidence leading busy services
• A practical, hands-on approach and genuine passion for hospitality
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
• The ability to stay calm, make sound decisions and support your team under pressure
