Job summary

Bonny View Tavern is seeking a hands-on Duty Manager to join our leadership team on a permanent full-time basis. Located in Bald Hills, Queensland, you’ll lead day-to-day operations, coach front-of-house staff and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced venue within the Australian Venue Co.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Duty Manager or similar hospitality leadership role.
• Passion for hospitality and long-term career in the sector.
• Strong F&B knowledge to lead busy service periods.
• Excellent communication and leadership to motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Effective labour management and rostering experience.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster incl. evenings, weekends, holidays.
• QLD RSA & RSG certificates (RMLV highly regarded or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high service standards.
• Coach, develop and motivate front-of-house team members.
• Open and close the venue with smooth daily operations.
• Support labour management, venue presentation and compliance.

• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally.
• Collaborate with Venue Manager to drive operational success.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading day-to-day venue operations across food, beverage and gaming.
• Delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high service standards.
• Coaching, developing and motivating front-of-house team members.
• Opening and closing the venue while ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Supporting labour management, venue presentation and operational compliance.
• Managing cash handling, end-of-day reconciliation and venue reporting.
• Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
• Working closely with the Venue Manager to drive operational success.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Supervisor or similar hospitality leadership role.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to building a long-term career.
• Strong food and beverage knowledge with the ability to lead busy service periods.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and confidence making decisions under pressure.
• Effective labour management and rostering experience.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Current QLD RSA & RSG certificates (RMLV highly regarded or willingness to obtain).
