Job summary

Australian Venue Co. in Yarrawonga is seeking a Duty Manager to lead shifts across two venues, including the Terminus Hotel and Criterion Hotel.

You’ll coach staff, deliver outstanding guest service and ensure safe operations across bar, dining and gaming to create memorable experiences for local guests. The role requires prior Duty Manager or hospitality supervisory experience, Victorian RSA and gaming qualifications (or willingness to obtain), and a hands-on, calm leadership style.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Duty Manager or hospitality supervisor.
• Current Victorian RSA and gaming qualifications, or willingness to obtain them.
• Strong communication skills and confidence leading busy services.
• Hands-on, practical hospitality approach.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to stay calm and support the team under pressure.

Responsibilities

Australian Venue Co. is looking for an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join the leadership team across Terminus Hotel and Criterion Hotel in Yarrawonga. From busy bar and restaurant services to functions, gaming and entertainment, you’ll enjoy a varied, hands‑on role where you can lead a team, connect with the local community and help create great guest experiences.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading shifts across bar, restaurant and gaming operations
• Supporting, coaching and developing team members
• Delivering friendly, attentive service and resolving guest concerns
• Opening and closing the venue independently
• Managing cash handling, reconciliation and end‑of‑day reporting
• Maintaining liquor licensing, responsible service, safety and venue standards
• Supporting daily operations and keeping the venue looking its best

What we’re looking for

• Experience as a Duty Manager or hospitality supervisor, ready to take the next step
• A current Victorian RSA and relevant gaming qualifications, or willingness to obtain them
• Strong communication skills and confidence leading busy services
• A practical, hands‑on approach and genuine passion for hospitality
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
• The ability to stay calm, make sound decisions and support your team under pressure
