Job summary

Bonny View Tavern, part of Australian Venue Co., is seeking a Duty Manager to lead day-to-day venue operations in Bald Hills, QLD. You will drive guest experiences, coach front-of-house teams and oversee cash handling and reporting, with a focus on service excellence.

This permanent full-time role offers ongoing leadership development through the AdVanCe Career Program and career progression across 200+ venues across Australia & New Zealand. Staff discounts across AVC venues are included.

Qualifications

• Experience as Duty Manager, Supervisor or similar hospitality leadership role.
• Passion for hospitality and a long-term career.
• Strong food and beverage knowledge and ability to lead busy service periods.
• Excellent communication and leadership with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Effective labour management and rostering experience.
• Current QLD RSA & RSG certificates (RMLV highly regarded or willingness to obtain).

• Deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high service standards.
• Coach, develop and motivate front‑of‑house team members.
• Open and close the venue while ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Support labour management, venue presentation and operational compliance.
• Manage cash handling, end-of-day reconciliation and venue reporting.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally.
• Work closely with the Venue Manager to drive operational success.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading day-to-day venue operations across food, beverage and gaming.
• Delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high service standards.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and confidence making decisions under pressure.
• Effective labour management and rostering experience.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Current QLD RSA & RSG certificates (RMLV highly regarded or willingness to obtain).
