Job summary

Burpengary Community Club is seeking an enthusiastic Duty Manager to join our leadership team in a vibrant Queensland venue. You will lead guest experiences, support a developing staff, and help shape a high-performing hospitality operation across gaming, sports bar, restaurant, and events.

Qualifications

• Experience as Duty Manager or hospitality leadership.
• Ability to lead teams and deliver guest experiences.
• Current RSA, RSG, RMLV & Approved Managers License and First Aid.
• Eligibility to obtain a National Police Check.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting teams across multiple departments.
• Delivering exceptional customer service standards.
• Managing daily operations and shift performance.
• Coaching and developing team members.
• Maintaining venue compliance requirements (RSA, RSG, RMLV).
• Managing gaming operations and procedures (as applicable).
• Supporting stock control and venue administration.
• Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
• Contributing ideas to improve service, culture and operations.

About the Role
As Duty Manager, you'll be one of the key leaders on shift, helping ensure every guest has an exceptional experience while supporting your team to perform at their best.

Working closely with the General Manager, you'll oversee daily venue operations across:

• Gaming
• Sports Bar
• Restaurant
• Functions and Events

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and supporting teams across multiple departments

• Coaching and developing team members
• Maintaining RSA, RSG and venue compliance requirements
• Managing gaming operations and procedures
• Supporting stock control and venue administration
• Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally
• Contributing ideas to improve service, culture and operations

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a positive, hands-on leader who enjoys working with people and building strong teams.

You'll Bring:

• Previous Duty Manager or hospitality leadership experience
• Strong communication and people management skills
• Confidence leading teams in a busy environment
• A calm and professional approach to conflict resolution
• Excellent organisational and administration skills
• Initiative, reliability and a positive attitude
• Experience with rostering systems and time & attendance programs (desirable)
• Experience in gaming operations, strongroom procedures and clearances (desirable)
• Sound Microsoft Office skills

Essential Qualifications

• Current RSA
• Current RSG
• Current RMLV & Approved Managers License
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Eligibility to obtain a National Police Check

Hours of Work

This is a full-time leadership position operating on a rotating roster.

Availability is required across Days, Nights, Weekends & Public Holidays
Hospitality never stands still, and neither do we. Flexibility and a team-first attitude are essential.
