Job summary

Australian Unity Limited is seeking experienced or entry-level carers to support elderly clients living at home in Narooma and surrounding areas. The role offers permanent part-time contracts with 20–30 hours per fortnight and flexibility to cover additional hours.

A current Australian Driver's Licence with your own car is required, and travel for training is included. You will perform domestic tasks, personal care, and transport support, with an emphasis on compassionate, person‑centred care.

Qualifications

• Live in or near Narooma including surrounding suburbs: Dalmeny, Kianga, North Narooma.
• Australian Driver's Licence with your own car (no international licences or shared/rental vehicles).
• At least 12 months personal care worker industry experience in an aged care setting.
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.
• Travel is required for training.
• This is not a vacancy for disability or to work in a facility/nursing home.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance such as cleaning, vacuuming, laundry and meal preparation.
• Provide personal care services including showering, toileting, assistance with medications, plus domestic duties and social supports like transportation for clients.
• Be a friendly face and brighten someone's day while supporting clients at home.

Do you meet these minimum requirements?

• Live in or near Narooma including surrounding suburbs Dalmeny, Kiang, North Narooma,
• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car (sorry, we cannot accept International licences or shared/rental vehicles)
• Have 12 months personal care worker industry experience in a paid Aged Care setting
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday (weekend availability is a bonus but not required)
• Commitment to our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start! (Get ready to learn, grow & be supported!) Travel is required for training.

What this role offers:

• Permanent Contract hours: 20-30 hours per fortnight + flex up hours.
• Hourly Rate: $34.80 - $36.59 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time
