Job summary

WorkPac Group is seeking a proactive Document Controller for our mining client in North Queensland. You will create and maintain document control systems, oversee activity across projects, and ensure timely distribution and approvals of critical documents.

The role emphasizes strict version control, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with site teams. An 8/6 roster, meals and accommodation, and an hourly rate of AUD 58 per hour are offered with potential for permanency.

Qualifications

• Experience in a document control role, ideally within mining, construction, or engineering.
• Strong understanding of document management systems and version control processes.
• Proficiency with DMS/EDMS platforms (SharePoint, Aconex, OpenText)
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency when managing large volumes of documents.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support and influence project and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain document control systems and processes
• Manage and oversee document control across projects and teams
• Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders and track acknowledgements
• Ensure documentation complies with company procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate records through archiving and document retrieval processes Conduct document audits and manage approvals, revisions, and change requests
• Coordinate documentation between teams to ensure accuracy and consistency
