Job summary

G.James Glass and Aluminium is seeking an organised Installation & Dispatch Coordinator to join our Adelaide-based team. The role focuses on coordinating product deliveries and scheduling installations, working with subcontractors and in-house service technicians to meet customer requirements safely and on time.

Reporting to the Operations Team, you will manage installation and dispatch priorities, communicate with customers, and support safety and quality outcomes across projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate installation and service teams to deliver work on time and to Australian Standards.
• Coordinate all product pickups, deliveries and transport requirements to meet customer deadlines.
• Liaise closely with customers, production, sales and factory teams to ensure installations and deliveries are completed as scheduled.
• Maintain and update installation and dispatch schedules in line with operational priorities and customer requirements.
• Process picking, shipping and dispatch documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate proactively with customers to manage expectations regarding installation and delivery timeframes.
• Monitor workflow and factory capacity to support efficient scheduling and resource allocation.
• Support quality, safety and compliance outcomes, including Chain of Responsibility, load restraint and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Assist in minimising rework, delivery issues and installation delays while driving positive customer outcomes.

Our Adelaide (Edinburgh) Windows & Doors branch provides sales, fabrication, dispatch and installation of aluminium windows and doors to the residential and commercial construction markets. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Installation & Dispatch Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in ensuring products and services are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Team, this varied role is responsible for coordinating both installation activities and product dispatch to ensure seamless delivery from factory to site. Approximately 50% of the role focuses on coordinating product deliveries and pickups, with the remaining 50% dedicated to scheduling installation and service activities. Working closely with subcontract installers and an in-house service technician, you will ensure customer requirements are met safely, efficiently and on time.

About You

• Experience in a coordination, dispatch, logistics, scheduling or administration role, preferably within manufacturing, construction or a related industry
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
• Experience coordinating installation, service or field-based teams will be highly regarded
• Experience within the windows and doors, building products or construction industry will be advantageous
• Confident computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of logistics, dispatch operations, Chain of Responsibility, load restraint requirements and workplace health and safety principles will be highly regarded
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach with the ability to take ownership of your role
• The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
