Job summary

Melba Support Services (Melba) in Victoria is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to help people live meaningful, self-directed lives with personalised support across multiple service environments.

You will promote independence, choice and control, working with SIL, ISA, CPI, STA and community-based supports to build skills and confidence. No prior disability experience is required, but a commitment to dignity and inclusion is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide support tailored to each person's goals, preferences and support needs.
• Build independence, confidence and life skills.
• Assist people to participate in community, recreational, educational and employment-related activities.
• Provide practical day-to-day support, including personal care and daily living assistance where required.
• Support health and wellbeing, including medication assistance where required and authorised.
• Build positive relationships with people supported, families and support networks.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality, person-led support.
