Job summary

Melba Support Services in Melbourne is seeking a part-time Disability Support Worker to help people with disability live meaningful, self-directed lives across SIL, ISA, and community programs. Your role will tailor support to individual goals, promoting independence, choice and control while building skills and confidence.

You don't need prior disability experience; what matters is genuine care, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• First Aid and CPR certification current.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check current.
• Working with Children Check current.
• Australian Driver Licence required.
• Availability to work weekends and nights as required.
• Pre-employment screening and ongoing compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised support tailored to each person’s goals, preferences and support needs.
• Support people to build independence, confidence and life skills.
• Assist people to participate in community, recreational, educational and employment-related activities.
• Provide practical day-to-day support, including personal care and daily living assistance where required.
• Support health and wellbeing, including medication assistance where required and authorised.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality, person-led support.
