Job summary

Melba Support Services is seeking a Disability Support Worker to help people with disability live meaningful, self-directed lives. You’ll work across services, delivering tailored supports that promote independence, choice and participation in community activities.

No prior disability experience is required; a focus on dignity, respect and collaboration is essential. Applicants should have First Aid/CPR, a WWCC and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability, aged care, community services or support work is valued.
• Ability to work with dignity, respect and choice for people supported.
• Commitment to human rights, inclusion and person-led practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised support tailored to each person’s goals and needs.
• Assist with independence, life skills and community participation.
• Maintain documentation and liaise with families and teams.
• Support health, wellbeing and daily living activities as required.
