Job summary

Spotlight is seeking a Department Manager for Vic East, Melbourne, to lead daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service within a high-volume environment.

You will drive sales, manage stock, and mentor a team while upholding Visual Merchandising standards and brand guidelines. This role sits within Spotlight Retail Group, offering growth and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong retail leadership experience is preferred.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Experience in visual merchandising.
• Physically capable of handling large stock volumes.
• Owner's mindset for the department and team motivation.
• Passionate, resilient, and innovative in problem solving.
• Strong verbal and written communication and IT skills.
• First Aid certification or willingness to be trained (fully funded).

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in daily operations.
• Monitor stock recovery in your department daily.
• Drive sales growth and achieve KPI targets.
• Build a high-performing team delivering exceptional service.
• Lead by example in all areas of the department.
• Manage high-volume stock effectively.
• Execute department Visual Merchandising and standards.
• Plan catalogue campaigns and launches.

Role Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Store Manager in managing daily operations
• Monitor daily stock recovery in your department
• Achieve sales growth and meet department KPI targets
• Build your team to deliver exceptional customer service
• Lead by example in all areas
• High volume stock management
• Executing department Visual Merchandising and standards
• Launching and planning catalogue campaigns
• Stock integrity initiatives to increase department profit
