qualia, Hamilton Island’s luxury resort, is seeking a Demi Chef to join the culinary team. You will rotate through sections, supporting the Chef de Partie and senior kitchen staff in high-end seasonal menus, in a hands-on, detail-oriented environment.

You’ll contribute to seafood and produce-led dishes, uphold safety standards, and develop skills across à la carte and degustation formats in a premium kitchen setting.

Qualificações

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Essential)
• 1–2 years of experience in a luxury or high-end restaurant (preferred)
• Understanding of refined plating, station maintenance, and HACCP procedures
• Passion for quality ingredients, modern Australian cuisine, and sustainability
• Excellent personal presentation and communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible roster including nights, weekends, and event service
• Valid working rights in Australia
• Open manual driver’s licence (preferred)

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of refined seafood and produce-led dishes
• Maintain a clean and well-organised section throughout service
• Follow plating guides and ensure consistent execution under pressure
• Uphold food safety, hygiene, and WH&S standards
• Participate in daily prep, mise en place, and station organisation
• Support junior team members and assist with training when required
