The Star Sydney is seeking a DemiChef to join our kitchen team. Reporting to the Sous Chef, you will play an energetic, hands-on role delivering flawless product execution in a safety-focused environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to create memorable dining experiences across our fine and casual dining outlets.

Qualifications

• Experience in fine dining or casual dining settings.
• Experience with Asian & Western cuisines.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead the assigned section as directed by the Sous Chef and provide training to junior staff members.
• Assist with fundamental cooking and food preparation tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations.
• Complete all duties in line with company and statutory hygiene requirements.
• Meet requirements for consistency and high quality in a fast-paced environment.
