Accor’s Mercure Melbourne Southbank is seeking a passionate Full-Time DemiChef to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to advance in a fast-paced, high-quality environment and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

You will assist in preparing high-quality dishes, work across kitchen sections, maintain food safety standards, and support senior chefs with daily operations and stock rotation.

Formación

• Previous experience in a hotel or high-volume kitchen.
• Excellent technical knowledge with diverse cooking techniques.
• Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications preferred.
• Ability to work a 7 day rotating roster including mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with a team focus.
• Passion for food and a desire to grow.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain food safety standards and HACCP understanding.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in line with hotel standards.
• Work across various sections of the kitchen as required.
• Maintain cleanliness, food hygiene, and safety standards at all times.
• Support senior chefs in daily operations, including inventory and stock rotation.
• Ensure consistency and quality in every dish served.
• Contribute to a positive kitchen environment and help train junior staff where needed.
