Job summary

Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT in Darwin is seeking an Operations Coordinator to oversee and allocate aeromedical assets and crews across the NT. You will support 24/7 operations with a rotating 12-hour roster, coordinating aircraft, road ambulance resources, and patient transfers from remote sites.

You will liaise with hospitals, clinics, and partners, ensuring timely transfers and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating assets and crews in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate RFDS SA/NT assets and resources for safe, efficient operations.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to support patient care.
• Liaise with hospitals and remote locations to coordinate patient readiness and transfers.
• Coordinate road ambulance and aircraft refuelling requirements.
• Advise on asset and crew availability and optimise resource use.
• Monitor radio communications for safe operations.
• Record and maintain operational data in relevant systems.
• Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement within OCC.
