Job summary

Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia / Northern Territory (RFDS SA/NT) in Darwin is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join the Operations Coordination Centre. You will coordinate RFDS assets, crews and road ambulance resources to support essential aeromedical services in the NT.

Based in Darwin, the role supports 24/7 operations with a rotating 12‑hour roster (morning, afternoon and overnight shifts) and works across hospitals, remote clinics and contract partners to ensure efficient

• Experience coordinating assets and resources across multiple teams.
• Strong communication with hospitals, clinics and partners.
• Ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate RFDS SA/NT assets and resources to support safe, efficient operations.
• Liaise with hospitals, remote clinics and agencies to support patient transfers.
• Monitor asset availability and advise on best use of resources.
• Ensure accurate recording of operational activity in systems and databases.
• Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement in OCC.
